Lionel Messi is Uncertain for Barcelona Game Against Alaves

FC Barcelona has confirmed Lionel Messi’s groin injury. Club was aware of Leo’s discomfort before he left for Argentina. The Argentine star picked up a muscle discomfort after the game against Athletic Bilbao. The injury was not very much serious, and Messi played against Uruguay. His involvement in the game grew his injury and now Lionel Messi is uncertain for Barcelona game against Alaves. Club has officially released a statement that Leo Messi is injured but has given no date for Leo’s return. Luis Enrique might play Arda Turan or Sergi Roberto on the right wing if Messi stays out of the squad.

After Leo scored the winner for Argentina against Uruguay, his injury grew up to be serious. Argentine coach Edgardo Bauza didn’t risk him against Venezuela and he returned to Spain. Leo Messi posted on his Facebook page to relieve fans and assured that it is not very serious. Although he will have to slow down things in training and might miss the league game against Alaves. But his appearance would be possible if he recovers.

Messi: “Everything is fine, I have to slow things down as I recover with physio, but it’s nothing to worry about. Thanks to you all for your support.”

Leo spoke to Cadena SER that his knee is getting better and hope to recover in few days.

Meanwhile, Argentina played Venezuela in the World Cup qualifier game after the game against Uruguay. Messi scored the winner goal for Argentina against Uruguay and was out against Venezuela. And the ones who criticize Messi could watch the effect on Argentina when Messi is out. The game against Venezuela ended up in a 2-2 draw. Argentina drew or lost all the last World Cup 2018 qualifying games in which Messi wasn’t involved. And all the games in which Leo was involved ended up in a win for Argentina.
